Things have certainly been busy around here at the CR Head Injury! We have officially finished the Handyman Challenge, with Shaw " Don't Poke the Shawmen" winning the Gold Hammer, " Royal Shed Heads" winning the Silver and "Ouch I hit my thumb" Taking home the very special Rusty hammer, second year going!
Thank you so much to all our volunteers that come down and build these amazing structures, without you we wouldn't be able to hold this fantastic fundraiser!
We are well on our way with selling of the raffle tickets as well, keep your eye out for us in July and August, we will be all over town with them! $10.00 gets you a ticket with your choice of Shed, Greenhouse or Playhouse to win.
We who work at the Head Injury got a bit of an education this past month. We attended the Pushor Mitchell Okanagan Conference on Brain Injury in Kelowna. With a fantastic line of speakers, we filled our brains with as much information on brain injury as we could. We also attended a conference there with Dr Dr. Jane Topolvec-Vranic on the correlation between Brain Injury and Homelessness. Very insightful!
Check out our July schedule, we have another busy month!
